Connecting Cultures 2023

On September 7, 2023, Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, will hold the opening of the photographic exhibition "The Italian Ethnological Mission in the Great Lakes Region." It is organized by the CPS Department of the University of Turin and the Italian Ethnological Mission in Equatorial Africa, in collaboration with Makerere University and with the support of the Italian Embassy in Kampala.

The exhibition consists of a selection of photographs taken over the decades in the Great Lakes Region by the Mission's researchers. The exhibition aims to retrace the leading research conducted by the Mission, emphasizing the interconnections and cultural continuities that distinguish the Region.
