The workshop Refugees and Mobility in Uganda has taken place on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Campus Luigi Einaudi (University of Turin), marking the conclusion of the Italo-Ugandan research project “Mobility, Migrations and Refugees in East Africa: The Case of Uganda (2020–2025)”. It had brought together scholars from Italian and Ugandan universities to present research on refugee life, displacement, and mobility in Uganda. On Friday, October 27, the exhibition AFRICA. Le collezioni dimenticate has been officially launched, and it will be open to the public until February 25, 2024. It is held at the Musei Reali and curated by Elena De Filippis, Enrica Pagella and Cecilia Pennacini. It features more than 160 mostly unpublished works and artifacts, including sculptures, amulets, weapons, shields, drums and historical photographs.
